Bill, I was satisfied with the MiniDIGI. I don’t see it on the miniDSP list anymore. https://www.minidsp.com/images/documents/Product Brief-MiniDIGI.pdfAnyone on here experienced with I2S to SPDIF conversion? Not something I need now, but may do in the future.
The current DIGI-FP seems OK (45$) https://www.minidsp.com/images/documents/Product Brief - DIGI-FP.pdf
Else, visit ebay

Hi George,
I have the DIGIFP, its just for if I need a second SPDIF output from intercepting I2S. Will look at the ebay links.

what a waste for a CD only release eh?
Yes. Should have been on vinyl. 😉
That’s it.
But, one costs $75 and the other $3000 which speaks to my earlier point that digital well engineered gets you to 99% of the performance available for pennies.
I think you're too generous by leaving 1% there, Andrew. 🙂
Although joy of ownership from fit and finish is not something to ignore!

What recorder? Did I miss something? G5/Logic/RME MADI setup?
The bottleneck seems to be the Neumann DMI-8 converter's ADAT interface that was used. By its nature it's limited to 48/24
NEUMANN
P.S. I personally find it shameless to sell what appears to be the Neumann's marketing/promotional material that normally should be given away for free or at least included with a mag.
20 bucks. C’mon!!!

Is anyone still interested in Hi-Res/Low-Res file comparision test?
If so, raise your hand. 🙂

Assuming you mean redbook vs higher than redbook? Calling CD 'low-res' is playing to statler and waldorf and really means you are trying to bias people one way before its even started...
What the heck is that yellow goop around the edges of the cartridge holder, florescent paint so you can handle your turntable in pitch darkness? 😀

With a child’s heart.
Ortofon MC10 converted to mono operation
You mean you’ve connected the coil pins in series (or parallel)?
and AKG P8ES. I sadly cannot afford an original clear body P8 🙁
The clear body of my tip-less P8ES looks very sexy but one channel measures open.
If you think your cartridge magician can fix it for you, I ‘ll send it to Bojo’s land (well, I am not sure if post service here is shut down too).
What have you done to the headshell?
George
Dang, Bill! Those pinstripes on the headshell are noice! 😀Forgive me George for I have been naughty
I had the coils rotated 45 degrees so they read lateral and vertical now.You mean you’ve connected the coil pins in series (or parallel)?
. Unlikely but I will askThe clear body of my tip-less P8ES looks very sexy but one channel measures open.

I should have said. Not my headshell. These are pics from the repair shop in Vladivostok.
Oh, Oh! Heading to nirvana Bill.I had the coils rotated 45 degrees so they read lateral and vertical now.
And you 'll feed the lateral reading coil to the preamp leaving the vertical reading coil unconnected?
George

After browsing at the site where he posts close-up photos of his work, I am confident he will reply ‘yes’Unlikely but I will ask
I will be adding a M-S conversion option into the preamp so I can use it as stereo. Bit like the decca cartridges which use resitive bridge to do the sum and difference.
All an experiment. We shall see how it goes.
