Can anyone confirm this information I received today.

Information from Vienna’s laboratory studying COVID-19 say vast majority of people who died had ibuprofen/Advil in their system so do not take it!! Those who recovered did not take ibuprofen so if you have symptoms, take Paracetamol only!!!
I just spoke with my friend who is a nurse at VGH (Vancouver) and they just learnt that Advil makes the virus 10x worse. Tylenol ONLY for the time being. She said Advil kickstarts the virus into pneumonia.
The story is fake news.
But no one is recommending Ibuprofen usage with Covid 19.

It's correlation not necessarily causation. We just don't have the data. Given the concern, I would say avoiding NSAIDs might be good idea because they are of little value in treating this anyway.

In fact, 100 times more people die from some kind of tuberculosis in the world per day than from COVID-19. However, people somewhere in Africa die from tuberculosis, and this is of little concern to anyone. Somewhere in a European country people, for natural reasons, such as 2,000 people a day die from old age. And when 10 people were added to them on the day of the deaths from COVID-19, panic broke out in the stock markets. Or there’s a video in Spain, where you can see that people who are apparently quite ordinary people with COVID-19 patients are lying on the floor in the hospital. Although the increase in mortality was said to be quite small, the health system is no longer coping.

@ gazzagazza, if you take the time to read this thread from the beginning as you do for the book, you can see informations about that. It's not possible in the actual knowledge say Seanketzm the original poster who is virologist and researcher. I let ou the effort to look for the post yourself.

Genom of the virus sars2 - new coronvirus - covid19 is shared by all the scientists since 2 months and noone is saying it's a construct !
I haven't read the book, and don't intend to. I've been getting it quoted at me.

This is where it's important to think in terms of half-lives. Copper is still acting to kill viruses, even though they're quite robust, which is why it's 4 hours vs several days. Even if you do get infected, I don't think it's too hard to suggest that the viral load right off the bat makes a big difference whether you get sick or not.

So the idea of Cu impregnated plastic is not a new one (nor is silver impregnated or coated products).

You said it: the big difference is that COVID-19 comes thick and fast and completely overwhelms the medical system, and that causes the fear of people.
It will all be over by the end of the year, while flu, TBC etc will go on, but that is under the radar because it doesn't come in a high peak at one moment.

@ gazzagazza If the person who's quoting sections to you remotely suspects what he/she is quoting to you is true, please refer him/her to my post 1112 to put it in perspective and show him/her how silly this idea is.
Nah, he says, and I think the book says, that the viruses are harmless and the hype is created around them so that the medical and I guess pharmaceutical people can get rich. Also HIV doesn't cause AIDS, basically HIV is a harmless virus that's been hyped etc etc. Morons. But there seems to be plenty of "experts" to quote as supporting the theory. I'd love some targeted ammo to shoot them down.

SARS-CoV-2 is 1 micron and can live 4 hours on copper. How effective can Cu impregnated plastic be? How small a particle can this thing filter out?

Most masks do not filter out the virus completely but the idea is to reduce the size of the inoculation ie if you do get infected you want to be infected with very few viruses rather than a lot.

If you get a lot of virus at once there is a greater chance that your immune system gets overwhelmed by sheer numbers but if you get a little it gives your immune system a fighting chance to produce antibodies and the disease will progress in a milder manner.

Besides the virus doesn't travel naked through the air, it is suspended in tiny droplets. It is these you need to stop.
I have no idea how large those droplets are though but the infection spread borders what they call droplet infection and aerosol infection.
Droplets are larger and quickly fall to the ground while aerosols keep hanging in the air for some time.
Either way the particle to be stopped is substantially larger than the virus itself.

@pharos it's an inline 4 (or 3). It doesn't matter how you mount it.
WW2 Messerschmitts had V12s, they didn't become A12s only because they were mounted upside down.

... Our problem is poverty. There are about 500 million people that depend on daily wages and though the governments have announced free foodgrains for them for the entire period and some financial assistance, delivery mechanisms are still a sore point with plenty of leakage.
I believe developing nations face quite similar problem in this regard. Let us be steadfast and do our best in facing this global cleansing event.
