I began to calibrate the 2465
I checked all the voltage on j119
I let the scoop warm up for about 20 minutes
The 10V voltage was a small deviation of 10.2V
(J119-4)
i calibrated the 10 volts in R1292
After I adjusted
Exactly to 10 volt.
All the over Voltage Were exactly according to the requirements
+10V- J119-4
+87V - J119-8
+42.4V J119-9
+15V J119-6
+5V J119-2
+5V J119-12
-5V J119-5
-8V J119-11
-15V J119-1

The scoop works perfect
The screen image is very sharp.
The frequency measurement I have done with it is very accurate.
Now my problem
The only problem I'm trying to figure out is how to calibrate
the channels are not calibrated in terms of voltage measurement.
I understand what has to be done.
Correct the offset of each channel with an external frequency generator.
The question
where is the potentiometer for the Vertical gain amplifier
for each channel offset calibration ?
( the service manual for the 2465a is Very big Almost 500 pages Still trying to figure out how to do it there
So help is welcome.
Best regards David Az

I am also trying to understand according to the
service manual
pin 13 on the J119 POT
Should aim 2.5 volts dec ref
But I measure there there are 15 volts fix (pin 13)
All the other voltages in j119 i were precisely tuned

Isn't an autocal routine in this scope, something like you feed in an accurate dc voltage, and activate the cal routine, check in the menu. I had the tek advanced training on this particular model decades ago, a full two weeks of training.
Check the service manual calibration section. Their manuals were among the best with HP. The complete calibration is there...
BTW be very, very carefull with the big hybrid modules, they are certainly impossible to get now, and this scope won't work with a damaged one...

So you say, you try carry out 2. Adjust DAC Ref (2010) in service manual, and J119 pin13 remains meanwhile at a fixed 15V?
... a full two weeks of training.
It took to me a little longer, because of my crappy english and because I haven't any formal knowledge in field of electronics. 😉
yes pin 13 on j119 is 15v fix .So you say, you try carry out 2. Adjust DAC Ref (2010) in service manual, and J119 pin13 remains meanwhile at a fixed 15V?
my tek 2465 is the 300Mhz not the b version
a5 borad is different

Yes, I know, probably you have something A5 like this:

But I think, worth a check around U2101.
I like your cat! 😉

Yeah, really is a cute cheeks!
Don't know, what you can do.
Perhaps check those elcos, and that trimmer pot.

What I've said above, it is from 2465a manual, yours is a 2465, where it is different a little bit, have you the correct manual?

I can hardly be sure of anything in my life, but I have the truth right now. 😉
So you have a black-and white cat as well.
