Hi, what output stage prefer? I am thinking of using the output stage to lapizator tubes with some modification, like using a rectifier tube. Has anyone been able to compare different output stages and have a clear favorite? Regards

I've used lampizator SRPP tube IV, but I only had a brief time with it because the output impedance was much too high (around 10k from memory) to drive my F5, as a result the bass suffered drastically. If you use it be aware that you may need a current buffer/preamp.
CEN passive IV is in my system at the moment.
Whatever you use, I'm a firm believer that keeping it as simple as possible (fewest parts) generally gives good results. Which suits amateurs like myself...

You gotta love people poo pooing others hard work, its really starting to get to me how certain people here on these forums just want to shoot others down its like you are supposed to feel guilty for enjoying your goals.
I have the aya dac too, but its not a competition its a hobby and i enjoy this stuff no matter i am still going to build this because im sorry i like doing it, but i wont be compairing with my other dacs because you cannot have an opinion on audio because people are uptight about this type of relating ones experiance. Thanks ryan for your great work and effort its people like who inspire others, not for fame but for effort thanks again

It's not a competion of layers, sure ! Lol ! It's an "odieux" business as we said in my country !
And if it's a competiiton of the number of DAC, well everybody is free about stacking DACS on shelves... And it's defintly not a question of moral & effort but to avoid some big BS I read too oftenly from the OP! YYMV... sure everybody is free of its time and money and own cold sweat... pardon my french: "effort" I meaned !

But don't have a too short memory, the "great effort man" you talk about was not a gentleman on Distinction V1 and will not become one on V2. Yoo much bad choices and mainly non honnest inteluctually speaking ! I even fixed some of his errors in the V1 he take for him but on a bad way in the 4 layers design, and I think it was constructiv too me to fix that! I don't remember you was thankfull at this time for that on V1 and I even was insulted by the OP and even went it jails when he call the mods at his rescue (well the defender has too proove he is innocent we are in America, lol... mods never saw his bad words before !
