It seems to be an odd step for TB, venturing into an area the masses are not used to and perhaps not ready for. It's their only 8" drivers and I would think they might try and entice us with a more reasonably priced unit. I didn't know they were interested in the esoteric market. I wish them luck but judging by the reactions here in this thread they've missed the boat. It's a good looking, even sexy driver but last time I checked the judgment of such is best not left to the eyes. The specs are fine but they do not tell you how it sounds, hence my backhanded comment about shills.
Hmm, maybe these are going to be pitched as better than the Fostex 8", maybe a poor man's Feastrex? I agree with Cal that it's hard to be an early adopter at that price, so I too will wait for others to post some listening impressions.

That's the model I want to use. I was thinking OB with a powered woofer and perhaps the Aurum Cantus G3Si's I have waiting for a good home. It's a rather pricey midrange though. Let's see what the reaction is once PE has them in stock.
