As long as you like it, it's OK 😉. I'm glad for you that you can keep them. I don't know the CD your talking about, but judging from the pictures, the boxes look serious things indeed 🙂.

OK, so 25% SAF means that you can keep them? Excellent!
MY speakers wil never reach the beauty of yours, but if I only have to get to 25% there is hope!

I needed Tony´s website to give him credit as his designs
inspired me to build this one!
The system consists of solely Monacor speakers, but I redid
most of them to get them improved!
All chassis are FFL-damped (although it semms to be not
that modern anymore). The 10" (SPH-255) is FFL filled and added
mass to the cone. The mids (SPH-165KEP) are FFL damped with
a different fluid to dampen the resonance peaks. The tweeter
in front is a selected pair out of 10 with some foam in the back
of the cone. This tweeter (DT-25Ti) and the 12" woofer (SPH-315)
are FFL damped by manufacturer.
The most significant improvement over my previous designs lies
in the implementation of a pure 3 way 2nd order serial Xover!
The mid and hi´s (except the ambient tweeter) are heavily
inspired by Tony Gee´s Wilson clone ("Proteus") but with
different filter for the 6.5er because of them being actually
not lo´s but mid´s.
The bass xover costed me nearly all my nerves until it worked!
I compensated just the higher impedance peak at around 63Hz
to keep costs down. The woofers are crossed over at 175Hz
wich took the most money for Mundorf caps (240µ,1x 220µF
+ 22µF Mcap Supreme + 100nF Vishay + 10nF Vishay)
The entire Xover consists of Mcap Supreme in the signal path
Mcap + Audyn in the parallel and equalizer parts, and
Mundorf CFC foil inductors except the lo coil which consists of
2 paralleled Monacor Xformer coils.
The woofers are handmatched so that the parameters of the 10"
and the 12" are the same except Vas! They share the 106l
vented enclosure which is tuned to 30Hz by 2 ports on the back.
30Hz is best compromize, boxes are damped with bitumen + foam
+ natural wool stuffed to about 50%
I wanted to proof that you can build something special out of
industry standard speakers!

Thanks for the advice over the last few months. The results are my first ever DIY speaker, a 122L (Q.707) sonotube sub using a 15" tempest driver and AVA250 250 watt amp.

A couple weeks ago, I threw together some inexpensive open baffles. They are 2'x4'x3/4" oak veneer ply with solid oak trim to match my 1905 house. they have 1-foot wings off the back for support and to raise the bass sensitivity a bit more.
The bass drivers are Madison Executioner 21-inchers. They are driven by a pair of the cheap-o Parts Express plate amps with 6dB boost at 30Hz built in. Their highish Q and the amps' boost makes them good down to about 35Hz. They are lowpassed in the amps at 160Hz. Really excellent OB bass drivers, IMO.
The widerange mids are Fostex FE168 Sigmas I got for cheap because someone had de-whizzered them--No problem, since I was planning a supertweeter all along. I run speaker-level signals through the plate amps, so the Fostexes can make use of the 125Hz 1st-order highpass, which really cleans them up at higher volumes.
Finally, coming in above the mids are a pair of RS pod supertweeters.

To me marble or granite, it seems to me that have a contribution as to mass added to the group, seems to to me a very good material ( I have not listened to some never.....).
Although what I was looking for, in addition to that density is :
Do not unionize, no sides rectums ( in the inside each corner, rounded ). As well as of avoiding in what possible the symmetry.
Of all forms your design, he has an appearance wonderful.

Electronics projects:
diy sub processor (Jaycar kit)
diy preamp and power supply (used also for the sub processor)
diy power amp and power supply
As these all need a bit of work I'm termporarily using an old Akai amp which actually has a nice relaxed sound. I plan to do a DIY projector following the Lumen Lab plans as well. Later on, I will add a HT receiver, centre channel speaker (3 way with Vifa XT, P13 mid and P17 woofers) and a pair of timbre matched dipole/monopole surrounds.
Yes, I know it's cheating showing a rendering, but my speakers are actually tricky to photograph and the rendering actually gives a better impression of what they look like than the photos I have taken. At some stage I will actually take some good photographs as photography is also one of my hobbies.
Bigger picture to follow ...
