SymAsym - The Sequel, AAK's PCB GB

Hi Paulo,

I would not recommend using the IRF Hexfets. Their high Vgs would require the Vbe multiplier to be modified. Now Hitachi or BUZ Lateral Mosfets would work without changing anything except the base stop resistors.

The count is currently at 51 boards. It's not to late for others to get in.

I can start sending emails requesting payment via Paypal this week, but first I'd like to know since in some areas of the world parts can be hard to find if anybody would like me to provide any parts. Last time I provided the option of ordering the drivers, could even add matched output transistors this time.

Let me know and I'll start looking into it?

Al

For me, matched output transistors would be great. 😎

Also, I would like to change my total to 8 PCBs.
(a good friend wants to join the build)

Hi All,

Here's the latest count list.

evette, 10 boards
Ryssen, 2 boards
ncc, 2 boards
RKH, 4 boards
linuxguru, 2
PauloPT, 2
pchw, 4
Ferrari, 8 boards
leadfinger, 5 boards
Presbel, 4 boards
Johngalt47, 4 boards
Benh, 4 boards
Psymo, 2 boards
CeeVee, 2 boards
Jack C, 2 boards
FAA, 2 boards
vegges, 2 boards
gusto142, 4 boards

The count is currently at 65 boards. The GB is still open.

I went through every component on the BOM, and found the 4700uf PS caps, the 2SK170s, and driver 2SC4793 out of stock at Mouser. The good news is that I was able to find replacements from other distributors. The 2SK170 will be replaced with Linear Integrated System's LSK170. To make things easier and make shipping less expensive I'd be happy to purchase the three components and include them in your order at Mouser's cost if you'd like.

I've had requests to provide components in several different combinations as well as providing all the components. To help sort things out a came up with four options. I've included the estimated cost for each option. Shipping cost will be added later.

Option 1: PCB with no components. $13.47/brd

Option 2: PCB plus the three out of stock components mentioned above. $13.47/brd + components

Option 3: PCB plus matched transistors including the OT and input Jfets. $13.47/brd + components + $12.50/brd for transistor matching.

Option 4: PCB plus all the components minus the power transformer, and main heatsink. That's approx. 140 comp/brd. $13.47/brd + $75.00/brd for components + $15.00/brd for transistor matching and packaging.

To gets things moving along email me instead of replying to this thread. Let me know if there's an option you like, if not feel free to mix things up to fit your liking.

I've attached the latest BOM.

Check out the following link, and go to post #96 for pictures of the PCB and the schematic.

Hi Evette,

Sorry for the delay, but I've had several request to provide parts especially matched transistors, and I wanted to make sure that's all the parts on the BOM are available before requesting payment for the boards.

Are you interested in just the boards without any parts?

Regards,

Al

Hi evette,

The 2SK170 are no longer being manufactured by Toshiba and I can't find them anywhere in stock in the states, but I can sell you 30 of the LSK170.They're still in production pin compatible and their suppose to be an improved second source replacement for the 2SK170. I'll put you down for 30 LED's.

Do me a favor, send me an email to alsaudiokits@yahoo.com with your order request to help me keep track of all the orders. Thanks!

Regards,

Al
