FB100 and FB360
We've applied the largest feedback factor possible without reducing the output power capability. Which results to exceptional performance.

FBUltra
Under development, composite OPA1612 and LM3886 design.

I like the TPA32xx with PFFB boards from Sylph-Audio (bought D400Mx8, D100x2, D200x1). They works great with my active cross-over speakers. I placed 1 D100 (for stereo tweeters) and 2xD400M (for woofers) and 2x TIPD134 analogue active cross-over boards in a box.

Thank you for the trust!

D100 has a 102dB SINAD at 5W 4ohms, while D400 has a 98dB SINAD at 5W 4ohms. Both have the latest PFFB network, and currently our best sounding offerings.

Both should have slightly better high frequency performance than D200.
On Sylph-D200: 5kHz, 15kHz, and 20kHz hovers at 68dB to 85dB at 5W to 50W normal listening conditions.

Audiophonics has bought our last of the stocks of D100 and D400. It will be available on their site soon.
Meanwhile, we are preparing for the upcoming FB100 and FB360, hopefully we can send both samples to ASR before the year ends.
FB100 should have a slightly worse performance than 1ET400A as per my estimate.
SE800 will be slightly postponed giving way to the development of FBUltra module.

Is the FB100 long term tested in closed chassis so you don't get the same problem as Topping when you "hide" your PFFB implementation under a shield?

What does "Boutique" mean / stand for?

Is the FB100 long term tested in closed chassis so you don't get the same problem as Topping when you "hide" your PFFB implementation under a shield?

What does "Boutique" mean / stand for?
The shield is actually a heatspreader, you can add another heatsink on top of it and hide the "sylphaudio boutique modules" by using a thermal glue.
The opamp heatspreader is actually hotter than the main black ATS heatsink. Without it, the opamps will become a toast just like what happened to Topping.

We will also put some KAFUTER compound on PFFB components to hide and protect them from dust / etc...

Boutique means "small store" since our modules are not mass produced.

OPA1612 (BJT). Did you try OPA828 / 2828 (JFET)?

SMPS: cheap MORSUN, Connex.. or better from MicroAudio (Cresnet/Sami).
OPA1612 for price / performance ratio.

I already talked to Sami a few months ago, and he said that his 52V supply voltage drops / sags at full load. I need a very stiff supply since every ounce of power is important specially when 2 ohms load is being tested in my upcoming module. So, when I send a module to ASR, I'll just use Mornsun (got the idea from 3e)

For the stereo FBUltra, it just needs 400W power at full load so I will ask Sami if he has a suitable supply.

Thanks! Ok, "Boutique component" is often used in a demeaning way when describing components that are overpriced, look nice but not necessarily any good/better. I was surprised to see that written on a product...

Hi Lester and all his followers!
Hope you've all had a merry Xmas if that's your thing.

I just came back here to compliment Lesters work. I've had a couple of your 3255 implementations. The first one and now I have D200 with all the updates. I initially used a big toroid/cap bank but now have it running with an Ali 48v 600w smps. Runs cool with no fans.

I haven't had the D200 in system for maybe a year. I've been scratching a class A itch. From 5 watt to 40 watt, ACA, ACA Mini, to Aleph and AN39.

I popped the D200 back in when I was in between ACA and the impending AN39 completion. Was really liking the ACA. I realised my DIY 3 ways are maybe not the easiest load. Quite a peak in the LF aswell as dips here and there. I mitigated those with XO tweaks to help the small class A. But when I put the D200 in I immediately perked my ears up. Something grabbed my attention. I assumed the plentiful power was doing things with the bass....which it was. More control over the LF I think...but here's the thing, it sounded amazing in the mids and hi too. Sparkle and air and 3d qualities.

Please pass this amp by at your peril. It is truly amazing. And for the money....well .. incredible.

Maybe there is some system synergy happening for me but I implore you to try !

Happy New year

I just bought a F100.... I will be trying it out on a TAD-4002 (110 db sensitivity, 16R) compression driver and I'm looking for a power supply that will give the quietest result (obviously I don't need the most powerful). Recommendations? Does this amp have adequate speaker protections built in? They don't make these CD's anymore and they are only getting more expensive on the second hand market so...

Hi, wich is more or lessi the expected Sinad for FB360 module with 48 volt feeding?
Expected 5W 4R SINAD should be around 103dB for supply voltages of 48V to 51V.

I recommend only 36V to 38V power supply for FB100 to maximize its potential. With the FB100's performance, noise will not be a problem with these supply voltages.

You don't need to worry about speaker protection with a robust TPA325x amp (like our modules), just avoid running the amp at clipping condition so I suggest using a 36V o 38V supply to have a big dynamic headroom.

You can use LOF350-20b36-c for 1pc FB100. If you have a PA5 38V power supply lying around, it is also a good sounding alternative.

LCSC is a legit supplier, it is cheaper there. Although Digikey provides free shipping.
