where was the break?
I know usually 2 amps do not go down in the same way but for future reference it is always nice to know the resolve. I had a similar amp (DC 1.2k, same build house I would believe) and the traces burned at the gate leg and because of an old thread I read got me headed in the right track. Plus curiosity after reading this thread haha!
