With the likes of Kingdaddy running the show, its no surprise everyone and his dog wants nukes.

No, I believe that God will teach you all you need to know through a spiritual means, if you let him, it's not from your own mind.
"Come, Kalamas. Do not go upon what has been acquired by repeated hearing; nor upon tradition; nor upon rumor; nor upon what is in a scripture; nor upon surmise; nor upon an axiom; nor upon specious reasoning; nor upon a bias towards a notion that has been pondered over; nor upon another's seeming ability; nor upon the consideration, 'The monk is our teacher.' Kalamas, when you yourselves know: 'These things are good; these things are not blamable; these things are praised by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to benefit and happiness,' enter on and abide in them." (Kalama Sutta)
The present administration has been playing with fire through its militaristic approach to foreign policy. Now, the genie is out of the bottle.
Yeah, imagine an American president bombing the bejeezus out of a sovereign country that hasn't attacked the US. Scandalous.
Oh, wait, that was the LAST administration. Never mind.

What was once an aspiration is fast becoming a necessity. The current demonstration of the limitations of the military option has provided the Iranians with an opening they are unlikely to pass up.
Milosevic was an enemy for years before the Kosovar War while Saddam was our ally during the Iraq/Iran war when the US supplied him with weapons.
BTW, other countries supplied Iraq with weapons too, but the other people are doing it too excuse is usually fairly lame.

You wouldn't by any chance be referring to that quartet of fools,
Larry Eagleburger and the EC Troika and their constant refrain of "We want to see Yugoslavia stay together" ?

Yet, you used it.
For ten points, please name the number one, number two, and number three arms supplier to Saddam. (Answer: Russia, France, and Germany)
For ten extra points, please name the country of origin for the chemicals used by Hussein to kill hundreds of thousands of Iranians and Kurds. (Answer: In a chilling irony, that would be Germany)
You forgott to mention in which country the owners of the largest part of german weapon industrie are located.

I sure can't say it wasn't them.

For bonus points name the first country to gas the Kurds.

I'm curious, when did I use that excuse? You mean the NATO attack on Yogoslavia? NATO determined that Milosevic went way over the line, that was their discretion. All I know is that they have unearthed mass genocoidal graves which he apparently was behind filling with bodies. The court will have to sort it out.
They supply the arms along with us, but we go and turn Iraq into a war zone, using the people as pawns, so that we can get influence over the oil spigots, set up military bases, and twist the arms of our enemies. That is life, huh.
Germany: I am sure we went along with it because Iran was our enemy, which rightfully had a gripe against us anyway.
I'm not arguing the wisdom or lack thereof of the US actions in Yugoslavia. I'm merely pointing out that Bush's actions are not exactly the massive change that the Old Europe elites portray in their nostalgia for the kumbayah days of the beloved Bill Clinton.
OK. I just think the world needs to take the turn toward getting past the use of war to solve problems. I think the war in Iraq was a long term setback toward meeting that goal.

There is a not inconsiderable difference in that a large chunk of the world did not stand by arms folded saying "you broke it, you fix it".
