Would this be a good choice for my Wolverine with 64v rails? https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/512-FDP045N10A_F102
I used IRF150P220XKMA1, which is a 200 amp device with 2.7 millivolt max drop which is fantastic for higher power amps since it is almost a perfect switch.
This device is unfortunately no longer manufactured but there are equivalents.

Thank you for the response! Any idea whether these would work? https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/?qs=eP2BKZSCXI7BhML/B2CYDg==
Looks like they would. The idea is to bias it such that it is always at its lowest possible Rds resistance (5 milliohms) (minimum 6 volts, preferably more) without obviously blowing it up, so that it has minimal effect on the output as a switch.
Besides the MOSFET, you should also think about an appropriate TVS, described in post #156 (I think the question if (Mosfet Vds) > (2x PSU_V+) is really necessary if you use a TVS etc. is not yet answered).Would this be a good choice for my Wolverine with 64v rails? https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/512-FDP045N10A_F102
Additionally, in the doc of Bonsai's SSR board, you can find a list of generally suitable MOSFETS.
In my case of +-59V rails, I used P6KE75CA TVS and IPP041N12N3GXKSA1 MOSFETs (lower RDSon is better).
Hm, in this case your rail voltage is too high for a P6KE68CA (Vr=58.1V) and the MOSFETs Vds is too low for a P6KE75CA (Vc=103V).
Life on the edge - it looks like the P6KE6.8CA might work if I took the rails down a volt or two? No, I see that won't work.
Use the P6KE75CA and pray/prepare to lose the mosfets, I guess.

It’s not about cost. Most 150 and 200V low Rds mosfets (the kind you want for this application) are out of stock right now. Have been for a while. I still have 125 SUP90142E’s on order, and every month the estimated ship date changes.
100 volt available all over the place.

Thanks - Mouser search, short memory, I do apppreciate the reassurance. I made an error previously just looking at some general instructions and focusing on RDSon, so I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something this time.
