Hi all, prices are known now. The board will be 12 Euro, PCB material will be good quality material with plated through holes and gold plated tracks. PCB color will be green with white/yellow text. We have arranged for a small batch as we don't know how many of you want boards. The R-Core 6V 3A transformer (2 x 115 V primaries) will cost 15 Euro as they're new but ex-equipment. I have a limited number of transformers. First come first serve basis only to European buyers. Shipping costs are high nowadays and cheaper options require more work than I like. It looks like it will be 20 Euro for shipping within the EU for a board and Rcore....😡

When Subbu gives his green light the order form will be published. Schematic and BOM will be published only to buyers and I hope you will respect our choice to be a little discrete even though it is just a simple PSU. Former buyers of our Subbu V3 DAC know we don't give any support which costs a lot of time so we try to avoid pages full of critics as right as they may be. OK now for a typical direct dutch (elsewhere called "rude") approach: any questions about transformers other than 5 or 6 V ones will be ignored for now. Of course the board can be used for both lower and higher voltages but I do lack the time to try everything out. Sorry. It will give excellent results powering a Squeezebox Touch but any DAC that needs 5V will like it as well. The first prototypes are running for quite some time now and they work as intended without any negative side effects.

What do you get for your hard earned money ? A very good performing 3A PSU that is nearly immune for incoming RF/HF both from utility power and from the load.

Ha, just hang in Jean-Paul. The guy seems to forget you're doing the community a great favor and you're not running a business... I'll patiently wait for you to straighten and work things out in the best workable way for yourself.

GB will run till 1st of May. Please mention the GB in appropriate threads as the GB will only be run once. I am not going to do this like with our DAC 😉 Months...Years....

I hope you will like it. It outperforms the original switched PSU. My tip is to go hunting for old analog Ampere-meters as I included a connector for measuring current. A tad retro is nice. You can use a white, green, yellow, amber, pink, purple (not blue) LED to illuminate the meter instead of the often built in bulb. Meters that have no bulb sometimes still have the solder tabs to add a bulb or in this case a LED. Standard resistor value is the right value for green/red/amber/yellow LEDs. You will need an Ampere-meter 1A minimum for just the Touch but it will go full nearly full scale now and then. A 3A is best and a 5A will do too. They will need to have a built-in shunt resistor for best results. You can also short the connector and use no Ampere-meter. Or you can use a coil....or a diode....

As said before it can be used till 20 V max. with other resistor values and higher rated caps but it will be your call, maybe helped by other members. Please use higher rated capacitors then. It also can be used for DACs or any other device that likes clean power. I tested 5V only.
