I think it's too complicated for me. I haven't any measurement equipment beyond a multimeter and, of course, I'm not totally confident to do it.
I'm afraid that I have to go for a new DAC, something like TDA1541, which is rather expensive, or at least 1387 or 1305.

I like the TDA1387 personally more then the TDA1541 and it is very cheap as well.

Lee Hooker, only one spdif 9001 receiver is suitable for connecting to your 5817 filter microcircuit. It operates at the same 384fs frequency as the filter. The 9001 receiver must be configured for 16 bit RJ output. You need to connect output 9001 to input 5817:
LRCK 9001(pinout 10) - LRCK 5817(pinout 5)
BCK 9001(pinout 11) - BCK 5817(pinout 7)
Data 9001(pinout 12) - Data 5817(pinout 6)
It's up to you to connect the receiver through the I2S switch, if there is no need to work as a disc player, but only as a DAC, then you can turn off everything up to the 5817 filter.

The DCD-910 precedes the SM5807FP with the CXD1130Q. The SM5807FP will accept BCLK at 32Fs or 48 Fs. The DIR9001 has BCLK at 64Fs. If the SM5817 in the DCD-910A is also preceded by CXD1130Q then BCLK is 48Fs. Since I have no information on what precedes the SM5817 or on the SM5817 itself I have no idea if it will work or not hence the 64Fs BCLK might not matter.

You can throw out the crystal from which the filter is synchronized, and apply the masterclock signal from the DIR9001 (output pin 4), then the DAC will be fully synchronized with the DIR. I checked everything works fine.

Not really much point in trying to argue with you in the face of the documentation available for the SM5807FP, the SM5813 and the CXD1125Q and the lack of information for the SM5817. It would be like fighting with a pig in a sty. You both get covered in muck but the pig enjoys it. Presumably you have a DCD-910A to try it on.
That means you have choice of master clock frequency. More recently it tends to be 256Fs or 384Fs but it doesn't have to be. It could be 192Fs and 384Fs as with the SM5807. As I have said before I am in the dark as far as the SM5817 is concerned. I know what is going in to it and I know that can have implications that mean things don't work. Frankly, if you think the board is cheap enough I'd give it a go. You are highly unlikely to damage anything and if it doesn't work maybe we can come up with a work around.
