How this simplified diy version compares to the original amp described in Sony VFETs part 2 article in terms of power, distortion, etc?

Great, thanks. Somehow I missed this when skimming through the thread...
Ok, I have submitted updated board for manufacture. The price for the fixed boards is $7.50/each (one channel). The messed up boards have two pins swapped per BJT, which can be fixed, but it's messy, these are free.
There are a few other changes, connectors needed a bit more room, more standardized B2B connector, and I am supporting a dual RCA input (using other half of the feedback DPDT relay for input switching)
I will free up my PM inbox 🙂
Hey luvdunhill 😉 Your PM Box is full. I'd still go a few of these if you have em. Let me know when your box is clear. 🙂
@luvdunhill
I suggest that you create a separate GB thread instead of updating here, most of us waiting for Papa update.

I've built a couple of AudioNoteKits kits, upgrading some of their now generic parts to AN parts through Partsconnexion. I have watched this page, and have avoided the fake Black Gate stuff. Unfortunately at the bottom of that page, it's mentioned that, at least back in February, they were having issues with getting these made.
I'm going to stick with Silmic II for my Firstwatt, Pass Labs recreations.
Hi,
........Q15 and Q16 develop the full voltage gain of the amplifier. You will notice R20
which is a load to ground from the Drains of Q15 and Q16. R5, R6, R29 and
R30 provide some additional AC loading to ground, and all told, the output front

end sees slightly less than 1K to ground.
.185 Vrms * 20
Biased and all values as on the PDF. Definitely have more room to bias higher.

At 0.185 Vrms this would be a normal result.
Increase to 2Vrms then you should start to see something.
What do you mean by *20
