Our friends at circuitdiy.com are running low on the 2SJ28 E Rank P channel
VFETs (my fault apparently), but they do have a supply of the F Rank
parts, and they sent me some samples to see how well they will work when
paired with the 2SK82 E Rank (which is still in supply).
I put them in the SIT amplifier circuit which was displayed at BAF 2013 and
also another similar amplifier, and apart from a slight difference in the bias
voltage, there was virtually no performance difference.
Actually, the F Rank P channel gave slightly better results, but this is within
experimental error.
So you can safely purchase these parts and put them in push-pull VFET
(SIT) amplifiers.
I am currently preparing the article on two versions of the Common-Source
amplifier shown at BAF and am also working up at least one Common-Drain version.
I hope to have it out in a week or so for you.

Thank you, sounds great !
I wanted to build a smaller version of the Pass Sony VFET Anniversary amp and have also build up a nice stash of 2sj28/2sk82 KE-33 grade recently.
May I please ask for a Common-Drain version with variable, adjustable number of parallel output pairs ?

are you, in any way , related to our GE Generg ?
absolutely, good DIY friends.
nope
look no further then BA3 Bal
Pa will give ya tiny puzzles about biasing , no need for moi to rape peanut brain
however - his Sony amp is Demonstration of Force ( as many other recent pieces are)
for moi - using them as followers = waste of parts - considering that he's able to make the same with plain dirt mosfets
I'm not sure will he admit that , or not

Do you have a source for them?
This website seems to have them at a reasonably price:
2SJ18 Manu:SONY Encapsulation:TO-3,P-CHANNEL MOS FET FOR HIGH SPEED SWITCHING IC NEW - IC
2SK60 Manu:SONY Encapsulation:TO-3,P-CHANNEL MOS FET FOR HIGH SPEED SWITCHING IC NEW - IC

It might be that the 2SJ29 and 2SK82 are the same chip but two to a case,
it's hard to tell.
I remember Mr Rothacher made this photo of 2SK82 opened Thanks a lot
and other 2SJ18 is find on web enjoy !
