WRT to FC vrs fixed magnet can the 096-FC be dialed in to the “same” T?s so that the FC can be fitted toboxes for the regular 096? A question i asked a client who is considering the Aquincum ML-TL.

After a few weeks of listening and changing the FC power supply current settings, I haven’t noticed much of a difference. I just keep coming back to setting 2 sounds the best which matches the cabinet type recommendation from Sonido. Gain and bass extension seems to increase along with increased current. But on my system not that noticeable. Setting 2 just sounds more realistic. Fyi- My components are Aric Super 300b SET, Suprarek Cabernet Preamp, Mojo Mystique EVO Dac, Bricasti M5 Streamer.

Each F/C model has its ow Power Supply unit with which it is possible to change the parameters and thus it is possible to usr these drivers in the selected design, from a horn to an open baffle box. And therefore I provide for all models such a tabla, as example for the drivers SWR 096/FC.

Sounds like a good choice. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Sonido drivers. Look forward to hearing more on your build and SQ impressions.👍👍
These 250 Field Coil drivers arrived today! Looks pretty fancy so far!
Surprisingly, they only took a week to travel all the way from Hungary 🇭🇺 to Brisbane, Australia! ( it took about the same time to get from Budapest in Hungary 🇭🇺 to Sydney, as it took to go from Sydney to My house about 1000km)!!!
The longest part was trying to get my bank to organise the International Bank transfer!

I’m building one of Istvan’s Bass Reflex designs( I cut the 25mm hardwood plywood today), just to run them in, then I’m going to build a Folded Voigt Pipe with my unique construction and design, and see if I’m on the right track!?
This will be my First Bass Reflex box ( I’m pretty comfortable with the pipes), So, I’m happy 😃 to take paddlng/ stuffing suggestions from anyone! Thanks in advance!
