Cannot really believe weāve spent 30 years together, but weāve done a lot, travelled here and there, but Mrs K (Natasha) also appreciates that she and her daughter could get out of moscovia before that paperclip sorting spy became president. But now are living in USA ā¦.

Yes, nothing like an H16 (to not work)@cracked case , it's been a long time since James Hunt was racing that beast. Those innovative days were more fun.

Or a supercharged V 16 screaming away.Yes, nothing like an H16 (to not work)
That would be more reliable than BRM's H16. Come to think of it, anything other engine would be more reliable than that H16.Or a supercharged V 16 screaming away.
I would like to see a V1.
Go on, I dare you
Apparently my wife says it's not possible
I only wish she saw other simple things this way
Alas, I am married and doomed to marriedness
Isn't it fun gents?

Still, it's fascinating isn't it? There are a few good YouTube vids about it. I mean, 128 valve springs...imagine assembling the thing!
I lost interest in F1 at around the time Senna died, which to me coincided with the sport becoming less interesting.
I used to ride a V1, 600cc single, kickstart Yamaha SRX-6 Super Single. 620cc kit, modded cam, pipe and twin Mikunis. You can see the cable to decompession when kicking...
My Dad had one of these thumpers many years ago, a Panther Model 120 (650 single).
It ended up with a four passenger sidecar attached; our only family transport back then in Scotland. He progressed to a BSA Golden Flash (650 twin).

Beautiful.
Yes, I can find beauty in almost any motorcycle, but some more than others. Mine was a bit more utilitarian and rugged, but I thought it was beautiful too.š

In Sweden and most (?) EU countries, itās mandatory to have your car inspected by authorities annually. I think all cars older than 3 or 5 years must be checked in Sweden, so I my Suzuki underwent a ruthless scrutiny today. Itās about safety and environmental factors mainly. In worst case the car is simply pulled off the street - registration and insurance and whatnot removed and must be towed to a repair shop.
So this is my protocol. āBesiktningsresultat: GodkƤntā, menas āPASSEDā š

That's the thing about air cooling, it has to be good enough to keep an engine cool whilst lugging a side car up a steep hill in summer, but not too effective in winter - I used to put a rag in front of the cylinder on my SR125 below freezing to help it warm up for the first few miles. Commuting by motorcycle in winter wasn't the most fun, although when my throttle cable froze open it was "interesting".
I was quite surprised watching American car shows on TV, that they don't have anything like the MOT to make sure that a car is roadworthy.
