My understanding is that the list price does not account for volume discount either. The list price is a "standard list" price as a single vehicle. Buy 20 of the same one and the dealer gets discounts on the price.
They mark them up so they can mark them down and give you a discount. Yea, right.
Two years ago (during the automobile shortage) I was in a wreck in which my 2019 Subaru was totaled. Dealers were marking the prices up by stupid amounts over list. When I went to the Subaru dealere and talked to the rep who I had previously purchased with, he stated something like "Oh, you are a repeat customer, we don't charge over list for you." They dis charge me list price, but at the time I was happy to pay it. I had to order the car I wanted and lead time was said to be 3 months. I got lucky and received it in less than 2 months.

As I headed off to the market my wife says hey, while you're there, why don't you get some of those pills that help you get it up better. I says okay honey.
So I come back with some diet pills for her, thinking it will only be a couple weeks before I can get something happening.
Apparently those couple weeks will be spent changing my dressings.

I guess virginity is stolen more, but it's not really an item. I think Terry Pratchett is the most stolen author, in one way it's something to be proud of, because you books are so popular, but it doesn't cast a good light on your readership.

100 billion BIC pens sold, 109 billion people born; I imagine many people would have died young, so not many would have had their virginity "stolen", but then not all Bic pens would have been stolen.

I haven't used a Bic pen since I got rid of all my cassettes.

Cello is a top selling brand in India, I heard that they make 5 million daily in different models, at two different locations, it is a big operation.
There is stiff competition, and the largest margins go to the traders.
In any case, they are cheap, the normal price is 10 Rupees, about 12 US cents, what you pay for a serving of tea at a cheap place...hardly worth stealing, it happens that people need pens at the bank to fill the forms, and then don't give them back.
In the context of the California $950 theft limit (below that the police don't bother you), it is hardly worth the trouble.
I buy 5 for INR 45, keep them out of sight in public places, so people do not borrow them, I am finicky about others touching my pens / phone / keys and so on.
The cheapest pens here, with a direct filled body (no ink holder, the body is the reservoir) are about 3 Rupees (4 US cents roughly) each, many brands are made in the Kolkata area.
We have many brands, each has similar models in the same price range, so it is a choice left to the buyer.
No ties to any brand, just a pedantic observation.

I am not especially an entusiast of Eric Clapton and less with what he made after the good unpluged album. I much prefer his Cream times
But voila, I dunno why, the last album LP Meanwhile front picture, I found very good aesthicaly-wise, brings me some mood and peace feeling !
