I'm in the office this morning and I felt hungry. Went to the fridge.
I just enjoyed a sandwich named Jim.

^ Is your office's fridge in a stable too?
OK, I'll bite... WHAT is a "Jim" sandwich?
(PS: I thought you retired...).

Check the title of this thread. I'm not sure I've written even one truthful story yet.
(wait, yes I did - see post #1)
I was hoping not to have to explain it but people put their names on their food when they work in an office as it tends to disappear. The guilty party usually claims innocence as their wife made the lunch and they didn't know what was in it.

Slight vamp on the old “when is a door not a door?” dad joke:
“When it’s an unbolted plug”
I’d suspect some Olympic gymnastic level PR performances forthcoming on part of the FAA, manufacture and airlines who request custom configurations these planes to suit their individual use cases.
It's unfortunate.... sure, HQ made a mistake not investing the money in the 797 and instead making mods to the 737.....
But the facts are that this particular airframe had prior issues with depressurization warnings and it was not fixed. Indeed, it was not allowed to fly ETOPS.
There are likely two root causes.. something wrong with the door.. but most important: Poor Maintenance. It seems Alaska is nowadays outsourcing their maintenance whereas before they used to do it all in house.
So Boeing is getting hit for Alaska Airlines' cheapness.
This sign was popular (among some) during a few election cycles. It's not too far from my old stomping grounds.
Not if you choose a more desirable destination. This thread could become DULL!

Tony, unless my 5 minutes of extensive internet research misled me, the type of door plugs used in these scenarios are installed by 3rd party contractors - who might very well provide no training on maintenance schedules to the airlines once the check has cleared - so there’s a bit of a Mexican firing squad going on. Add to that the chorus of keyboard warriors’ bloviations, and things can get very noisy. It's unfortunate.... sure, HQ made a mistake not investing the money in the 797 and instead making mods to the 737.....
