I was originally a 4WD F-250 so they didn't have to monkey around too much.
The did have to add a heck of a platform to the front though. It's not like a regular trailer.

I don’t believe there is a hitch. I think it’s solid and it manoeuvres because of the wheels. Some guys do put a ball on the front when they have long distances to store their units but I think this is different.
Looks like an easy convert. The transfer case is mounted near the rear of the cab so it probably stays as is, remove the box, the rear shaft, cut the rails, line and cabling and the whole rear end just falls away.
I'll have you know my wife Jill (SWMBO), has the original version, rear and all, and drives it daily,
mostly to the stables...
^, yeah, but my own SWMBO can still operate a clutch wearing 4 inch stillettos... I think she has to wear sneakers to heel and toe, though. On the occasions we were on different cars, at a redlight, she will race me.... she's actually pretty good...
But, we don't have a stable... our HOA doesn't allow stables. We do have autographed posters... some with Zanardi on them.
We went to the Honda training center for quads (ATV). My wife and her lady instructor and me and my guy instructor... each pair on a 1L quad. As you can imagine, wife took off like a scalded rat into the "off road race track". My instructor looked and told me.. "Wow, THAT IS fast!". We never saw them again till I drove up at the end... there they were, waiting for us to finish the lap.
I note this because I do not underestimate SWMBO.... she doesn't have to look tough, she just knows how to show her tailights when she feels lilke it.

Our HOA provides stables without charge, or not drectly...
