One of my all time favorites. Jake, being a versatile hunting dog, had a very gentle mouth. One of his favorite ploys to get attention was to go down the hall and left into the bathroom to gently grab a sheet of tp and then proudly bring it to me in the kitchen.
Cal, your groaners did take my mind off of things I'd like to forget. Thanks for that. 😀

Neil, the cute pup closest to the camera seems to be thinking, "Okay, I've posed for you. Now where's my cookie?"
Galu, it's especially important as we move into the dogs days of summer!

Yep--Rhys would sell his soul for a cookie. Ginger--the one behind him, didn't respond to treats until we got Rhys. She would take a cookie and just drop it later. When Rhys came along, she started taking an interest in treats to keep up with Rhys.
That should be the first priority, to keep them cool and comfy (our faithful friend and a family member for some) in this "Dog days of Summer"As the 'Dog Days of Summer' approach, ensure that your faithful friend stays cool!
Here is a fascinating story about smart birds, often seen as pests, now trained to voluntarily perform a useful service:Group of Birds Employed by French Theme Park to Pick Up Trash
