The first "home" computer I had access to (the PDP8 and 10 were via school and college) was a Commodore Pet. Wonderful machine! It was too pricey for me to own but I had the loan of one for a while. Then I bought an Ohio Scientific Superboard 2 and never looked back!
My first embedded system was to hack a Cambridge Science MK14 board, which was a cheap SC/MP board, into the control system for a large sound system, to automate a number of functions!!

Does a Sinclair programmable science calculator count? 24 step memory. I also had a PDP-11 on access! You know, FFT's an' all that. 🙂
Here, courtesy of the Cambridge students Mathematical Magazine, which you can get for £10 lifetime with an annual issue and 3 free back copies, Eureka 65, as it goes, is my Christmas wish list:

I thought 2 0'Clock was a foolish schoolboy miscalculation, but then I realised it was commas not decimal points:
Must be getting slow in the head. 😳

Back in USA.... somehow.....
Was to fly Gothenburg - Munich- Chi, but was told the flight was delayed ad were rerouted via Helsinki. But the Chi connection took off as we landed
Stayed the nite in Finland and was rerouted through Frankfurt (terrible airport) and finally, 24 hours later landed on O'Hare
But there was icing on my cake..... my luggage is lost. No medicin, no sunglasses no fancy tees and the two Swedish cheeses and the Icelande chockolote for the grandkids are floating around in hyperspace somewhere.

What do you mean back in USA?
I thought you are from Sweden.
Keep us posted about luggage, it is not holiday season yet, this happens more when storms and Christmas occur together.
You need prescription medication for chronic diseases?
That will be another issue, some are sold only on local doctor's orders.
Next trip, keep some medicines in hand bag, or similar, do keep a few days stock there.

I'm back because I've been here many times before.
Have started a fight with Lufthansa. When making a claim for compensation as our trip took an extra day due to the f&$#-ups I couldn't report the Finnair flights but just the very first leg of our journey which was 2 hours late, so I got a big NOOOI from LH.
I took me a lit of energy to answer that mail in an almost behaved manner.
Good news about our baggage: "We are still looking for it."
May the airlines att an ultra-economical class where you sit in one of this rubber rafts you tow with your boats

Mrs K had very personal and nostalgic stuff in the baggage that no money can buy. So we hope.Let's hope it all gets sorted in good order. My goodness man.
Learned that Jimmy Buffett died the other day.
David Gunson gives an interesting insight into aviation in "what goes up must come down" - in a similar vain to Bob Newheart.
Guys, check out the mood lightening going on over here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/post-a-picture-that-makes-you-laugh.402055/#post-7444424
Yes Magnus, Jimmy has left us but will remain in our hearts for decades to come. I haven’t consumed so many cheeseburgers nor Margaritas like this for years.
Using a sextant....I’d definitely watch at least a couple episodes of this season
