Blimey. My Landlord just texted me. Said: "Did you Win?"

Forward! Never straight!Since I am a forward thinker, I never go back, sometimes sideways.
That old saying has a completely different meaning today than it did in the 60's.Forward! Never straight!
I guess...That old saying has a completely different meaning today than it did in the 60's.
first, it meant 'not criminous'
then it meant 'not conventional(in a cultural, or social way)'
then it at the same time meant 'not sober'
and now, 'not conventional(in a sexual, or interpersonal way)'
In the late 60's and early 70's it meant 'not a drug or marijuana user'. At that time there was a difference, or at least a different social circle between "druggies" and "drinkers"I guess...

Anyone remember the column "Note-Worthy Circuits" in Radio Electronics magazine? At random intervals they published some "Not-Worthy circuits," usually in the April edition. Some were quite humorous. I remember a complex vacuum tube circuit which did nothing but had things like a dinner plate for the "plate load" and a water faucet connected to the drain of a fet. I wasted too much time on Google trying to find it before I gave up. Some component and equipment vendors even created data sheets for less than worthy devices. I still have a few on my hard drive.

Another source of amusement is the "Radio Term Illustrated".

Great! Two of those I'd not seen before. I also recall the fet with the water tap drain... 🙂Anyone remember the column "Note-Worthy Circuits" in Radio Electronics magazine? Apparently continued under the "Electronics" masthead. Some credited to 'MOHAMMED ULYSSES FIPS, I.R.E'
