I miss the days when we used DARPANET with our VAX terminals.

None of this newfangled HTML stuff.

Did I tell you that back in '94 two of us, working at an internetworking router company, created our own mark up language and clients that ran on DOS, Windows, Apple and Unix ? The idea was to manage our routers all over the Internet. Our VP, who was an overpaid dolt, said that we didn't need such an idea as we already had an SNMP based network administration software package.

We quit... the whole US Internetworking division went out of business in '96.

I turned down a generous offer to move to Saint Josey and work for Cisco in '95.
