No kidding. My 2400 baud modem took seven (7) minutes to download 100 kB. According to GTmetrix, diyAudio.com takes 2.07 MB to fully load. So 21-minute load time at 2400 baud. 🙂LOL…just thinking about the dial up days
I have noticed that even when the site loads reasonably fast (say in a few seconds) features like the notification pane, quote, edit, and the like will time out. Sometimes Post Reply times out as well. Then I hit the button again and the post sends immediately. Go figure...

There could be many reasons, slow fiber is only one of them.

'Bog slow' now (I apparently missed the 'good times' today), slowest I can remember ATM. Hope it's nothing expensive/time consuming.
5:16PM here in Philly Pa - and I'm guessing I have a couple of seconds of sluggishness still.

Unfortunately after 2 days of working to resolve the issue with our datacenter (Linode), we have been unable to resolve the issue. We believe the issue is with Linode, as the issue started when they had a connectivity issue on March 4th, but we don't seem to be making much progress and certainly the problem is getting worse not better.
As a result, I have authorised a complete migration of the forum to a whole new datacenter at Audentio's preferred host. We will then be running on the same well known server stack and environment as many other top XF forums.
This is going to happen over the next 24-48 hours. There will be periods of substantial downtime and will be a painful 2 days, but at the other end our forum will be running in a very well known environment, and have 24x7 monitoring and problem resolution by a team of XenForo hosting specialists moving forward.
