If you look at Picture No. 10
The Connection at the top is the one that needs to be extended the one on the right is just long enough to alow the board to be tilted at a 90 deg. angle which is perfect.
I will see if i can find a cable or the connections... may take a little while, as of right now i already built my projector and using the portion of the screen with player in windows to play movies.... and it works grat picture thus far is about 6 feet wide with that protion covered up..

oh ok awesome, so a cable extension is not necessary. thx for the clarification. And the screws your talking about are the 2 on the left correct?
yes this is correct the two on the left.
You need to extent the connector at the far corner of the LCD not the FFC cable...

now that i opended it i see what you mean.. its not really an extension, but just we need a wire to go from point a to point b.. do u no exactly what we need? cause i got this magazine that has wires that will probably have it
the corner conector is all we need to extend. 80 pin connector 3/4" ling, have to make an extention cable of some sort.
joe is this wat we are looking for ?

No wrong connectors they do not look like that at all. and it is not a FFC cable. it is a connector with the pins on the outside 40 pins each side a total of 80... i will see if i can find a pic of one.
i then tried bending it so that i would only lose a little bit, because im gonig to have to make it smaller anyways, and the circuit screws me over- its to big. so im all out of ideas. Do you think youll be able to find a connector?
I think Digikey.com will have them have to get the connectors male and female and also a cable. i will prob. call them tommarrow. They might be the SMT connectors. not sure. look at the catalog they have online under connectors.

Joe
hopefully theyll have them.. ive emailed around 5 people so far and the responses have all the been the same," no sorry"
I have had success
with Molex direct.
You could also try Parlex.

when you deal with Molex, asa I have, be very nice to these people!!!!, they will not bother you to give you a price quote, it takes too much time and energy to bill you for one flex cable that usually comes in lots of 5000 or more and really costs pennies each.
their overhead costs, as making an invoice and sending it out and follow up the pay, would be much more than they want to....
So when contacting them per email or so, please try to find out of their d-base what it is you need including stock # etc....
it will help you a lot!

frankly
I have no clue, it is not the best picture but I cannot make up any information on size, etc....
tell me what is printed on the flex cable to goes into the connector
it usually has the name of the brand, and 2 series of numbers
that should be enough to get a step further.
