Been remotivated to build an lcd. Anyways, not too long ago these particular LCD's were at mcdondalds (reporting news and sucH). I remember seeing and physically being able to count tons of dead pixels and remembering how crappy the picture looked. I took a vow that I would never buy this LCD. 🙁

well every brand can have bad picture and dead pixels just depends on how it is treated.... Mine does not have one dead pixel and is in pretty good shape, I get a good and large projection from it.
710a connector

So glad I found this thread! I am using the same (710a) monitor in my projector. Currently it is on an overhead setup, but will shortly be assembled into a proper DIY projector!
Does anyone have the information about the cable extensions?
If you are considering using this monitor, I recommend it. I got mine CHEAP! This is the second LCD that I have used, superior to the Samsung 152N. The Samsung is actually easier to dissassemble, but the picture quality and refresh times are superior with the 710a.
