Good question. Last I was aware boards were to be tested and another round of boards was to be ordered and distributed. I was pretty sure member evanc was spearheading this, so maybe he can chime in with a status update for those who expressed interest.

Perhaps he was waiting for Pete to give his blessings to the final boards? It seems we will have to wait for Pete to find a new location with some internet connection before he can truly reappear back fully on the thread.

You are both correct. jwilhelm sent boards to OS for testing. Seems to have stopped there. No fault implied.
I apologize for not being more proactive. The workload at my regular job has been through the roof.
I will ask Jeff for the final layout and have a few test boards made. I would need some serious hand holding if I am to test them. I have a decent oscilloscope. An alternative would be to send boards to Terry....If he is willing. He is fast and seems to have the hang of putting the circuits through their paces.

Evan, what is the difference between the previous ( Arc welder) V2.0 board and the one which you are talking about now ?

Vrystaat,
I think we are talking about the kypton-ND input boards. The output boards are did and done as far as I know, no more changes after OS moved the output devices out to the ends of the boards and got better thermal management.

I would of course be happy to build a pair. I just didn't order any because I have already built the K-ND on single sided boards. We know the circuit works fine I suppose the only question is whether there are any errors on the double sided layout. If you want to send me a pair of boards I will be happy to build them.

My Kypton-ND tester boards have arrived. I've stuffed and did some initial testing. It's working great so far. If all goes well I hope to have a pair installed in my amp tomorrow night and will give them a listen. The only glitch I see so far is the euroblock connector hole size. They work great for me, but others will likely want the holes larger. I'll update the layout and pass it along to Evan.
