I am happy to help by ordering boards and redistributing them. I am not qualified to put together the package that gets sent to the board manufacturer.

How about we give it to the end of this week to see what people want and what IPS manufacturing packages can be put together before we make an order.

At that time I can also order more of the OPS boards if they are called for.

Ahhh , spooky !

Just some observations on these IPS's.

Spooky - Jkeutmann's PCB , 7 month's continuous hard use. Went open loop
on it a week ago , did not go up in smoke. Rare for a design.
Already have the artwork , easy to stuff (works the first time).

Wolverine - use this as my test IPS and my sub IPS. ROCK SOLID ! any voltage ... it's a "lab" amp.

Kypton ND - pretty much the kypton C (which I tested/used) and the
spooky combined. Jwilhelm and I have collaborated on the final layout.
He has the artwork.
PS - it should be tested first.

The V3.0 OPS is currently 254mm long. Evan suggested 248mm , I have
this slightly shorter one done. Same layout , bigger euro holes and other fine
adjustments.

All the artworks are done for all these , only the "ND" needs a good
thrashin' to assure reliability.😀

That would be logical. Also someone test it sound wise and compare to the rest of the IPS
I do respect Terry a lot, I do not want to criticise how he compare amplifiers. BUT when someone write all sound the same that to me not good enough to place a order all do I would love to.
Again I do not want to offend Terry in any way, we have a lot to think to him for all the jobs he had done.
OS you made some positive comment on the Spooky that is the main reason I'm so after that. These can be as good as the Spooky sound wise but please someone do some serious listening test and report the result.
When I asked did someone compared these IPS with others or made a serious listening test all I get some scope (curve) measurements.
Some of us we know there could be a difference what you measure or hear sometimes.🙂

Glad I didn't get time to do listening tests today. I would hate to mislead someone who is hoping to hear a big difference between their Krypton-C and Krypton-ND. To be honest, some of the tube hybrids sound slightly different but not better.

I agree, someone should do some "serious" listening tests. My testing was what I would call scientific. Same speakers, identical OPS sections, same input signal and instant, blind switching. It would be much better to get someone to use a lapse in between listening sessions so they can let their imagination have a chance to work. 😀

These inputs are cheap. I for one think if you want a listening test opinion, you need to do it yourself. Someone else's opinion on their system with their choice of output power through their speakers in their room isn't going to tell you squat in your own environment.

Please let's not go down this road again......

Some differences such as clipping behavior would be tough to check with a listening test.

Terry's set up is his set up....possibly he would notice a difference AB testing driving a pair of large subs or even some very sensitive compression drivers....who knows.

It seems to me the spirit of this project is build it and see for yourself.....The parts for the various IPS set ups are not very expensive. This is not to say we shouldn't benefit from the experience of others just that we all have our own set ups and ultimate goals.
