Also, look at this one - VERTICAL front-end:

😎
I accidentally uses 12V zener to simulate Vertical IPS. I found VAS current to low. I change some resistor to make VAS current around 5,5mA.
Then I recognize that Valery use 15V zener 😛 Then I try to use 15V zener. But I found better result of my previous simulation. 😀 😎

Why do you think that is?
Why do you think that is?
Because my previous simulation have lower THD.
Because my previous simulation have lower THD.
Normally, it's easier to achieve lower THD with higher rails 😉
So, I'm sure, if you set the key regimes the same as with the lower rails - you will get even better results.
By the way - what OPS do you use for simulation together with VERTICAL?
NFB is rather low-impedance, so the front-end does not work properly without a power buffer...

I use 3EF OPS. I will optimize it later 😉
This IPS is very good. Must try...
Have any of you tried to send OS a PM to see if he is just busy? I had his address but he has moved, not sure if he would get anything I would send him.
does anybody got his mobile no? or the company where he works for? He said he works for some industrial automation company. Does anybody knows which one is it. Coz its long time he is not coming on the forum.
After all the work he does, almost without being asked, I wouldn't be surprised if he just gets sick of looking at the forum and familiar designs so much. I know I do. If he can stand being off the forum for such a long time then I think he must need time to recharge his batteries. I wish him all the best.
I had a mailing address for Pete that I used to send him some things but that was before he moved when he couldn't get any more internet service. I don't know if I sent a letter to him if he would get it, perhaps there is a forwarding address at the old mailing address. I could give that a try. I was counting on him to do the surface mount design we had talked about, I just hope he didn't walk away from everything but I doubt that is what is happening.
I've sent Pete an email today, no reply as yet.
I will also try to send a postcard via the real post service tomorrow.

lets wait he might be busy with his office work. But when he comes back on the forum lets welcome him so that he will not forget that how many are waiting for him on the forum..!
Evan do you have any documentation on how you built your moskido? The moskido thread was killed after a bit of a go around between the OP and moderation. I built a lateral fet output version...sounds nice.
Evan
thanks
Pete "Olly olly oxen free" !!
had to look it up. it has been a while since i had to use it 🙂 but for the non hide n seek children in our audience, this is what it means
a catchphrase used in such children's games as hide and seek, capture the flag or kick the can to indicate that players who are hiding can come out into the open without losing the game
