SlewMaster Builds

I wonder if a low frequency test ,let say 15Hz(scope based) can reveal the difference to low frequency reproduction between different IPS ,CFA against VFA.

I would guess subtle phase variations would determine the SQ in LF.

You would not see this on a lowly scope.
Electrically , this might be the woofers interaction between a CFA FB
network versus a DC blocker cap or a servo.

Capless NFB designs do have the better bass. Objectivists would discount
this , but they either don't have the equipment to measure it ... or
have not cranked a "spooky" amp.

OS,
Isn't that one of the major differences between the VFA and CFA, the feedback loop being done with caps or resistors? I would have thought that would favor the CFA but you seem to prefer the VFA for the bass, that somewhat confuses me.

The difference between my auditioned kypton C , wolverine , and present
spooks are the fact that only the spook is servo'ed.
The other two have electrolytic DC feedback.
As I said before , I prefer the spook .

I DO want to try the Kypton ND , it handles DC same as the spook .

For the 2sa1381 2sc3503 I have both E and F rank parts. Any advantage/disadvantage to using the higher hFE parts?
Thanks,
Evan
PS. I have quite a few of these if people need some.

I'm using E's and D's. It's a triple - current gain is already 100K+ ,
You might be 200k+ , Evan.

BTW , these new amps run nearly 8C cooler with the same case
and extrusions. I attribute this to the better HS USA AL and the
output distribution.

Really abused these amps last night.
I'm hard to please , but with these I'm impressed.
Evan , I'd save the E's to match with mouser E's (for VAS's).

"At home" ...

This guy (below) was mad at me , I took his 'lounge" away for a few days. 😀

Not having music is one thing , but being deprived of the warm spot was
the real crime.

Real life slewmaster build is lunched....I need to purchase some more electoniqc parts so i begun casing build : Project is about two mono bloc with each one Rcore 500Va 2x36V trafo and 18mF-0R2 10W-15mF filtering. For cas building i use MDF that will be primed with epoxy resin and than painted in white with automotiv 2K paint sprayguned. This afternoon i cut the differents MDF case pieces from sheet i had in stock. I join you under the project sketches, and first picture from cases. They need a lot more work before thay can host Slewmaster electronics...

The two latest are gorgeus. I always falling in love with those Wood/Aluminum mix. I can't work with raw wood so the only solution for my is vennering but it became quite silly to deal with when i have to handel with cut off in middle of the pieces....

Nice veneer work Evan. I know how difficult that can be. Evan are your cabinets maple, that looks like curly maple in the pictures?

Here is a cabinet I made for a friend of mine, a graphic designer, he needed something out of the ordinary.

Sorry the pictures are so bad. That is Carpathean Elm Burl. Don't even ask the price of that veneer it was insanely expensive.
