no jwilhelm not yet
but on a good note i got a full refund and a 10% voucher off my next purchase.
chassis are being a real pain in my a@#
feet are making me plug my hair out
tried aluminum cone feet
brass round stock and cone shape
glass round pucks glued 8 peices 1/4 each
even tried all above from 1" dia to 3" dia
all seem to make it look bad and cheap
next is some walnut i have
also almost forgot i have some seismic audio feet on order

I made some feet for a computer chassis that turned out good. I recessed half a 3/4" ID rubber grommet into some 1 1/2"Dia x 3/8" aluminum round stock. It went well with an aluminum chassis and had great weight distribution. These amps are well over 50lbs when they are done. They need good support.
I hope It will sing tomorrow. Bit of the drilling left to do before final setup.
Did you wander into the wrong thread? That doesn't look like a Slewmaster to me.

Very nice build! I like your choice of connectors too.

It looks like a compact Slewmaster three pair with no cap multipliers for output boards and a cool new hybrid input.

I do think Borys did do his own version, if I recall correctly. It isn't the same as OS's layout, but I believe the overall design is essentially the same, minus a few things to keep it simple and compact.
Edit: And I'll say anything closely related and in the spirit of the project is welcome here, IMHO.

It is a poor Man's version of it 😀, with toshiba drivers and OP tranies for poor 70mm wide heatsink (I am not a big fan of big square box type enclosures).

THX!!
The input ''cards'' will be very easy to swap, plug and play --> I will have only fine tune few resistors.

I see the slew dual Vbe , to-220 drivers , and 3 pair outputs.
I think the IPS's are standardized , borys has a singleton CFA
(like Vzaichenko's).
"slew inspired" ! 🙂

Hi Borys,
Since this is a build thread, how about sharing your schematic and layout so we can all play. 😉

If I will not blow up my lab tomorrow I will post the full pack of documents.
OS
Slewmaster = KING of AMPS
Very nice idea for people who are not affraid of soldering iron 😀

I got it running and I am alive 😀
Some advice neaded!
I suspect some crossconduction issues. All squares are ok with load connected (current consumption is OK too) but if I will disconnect the load from OPS and put square vawes threw the amp the current consumption is rising --> let me say the OPS is biased 100mA total at iddle, and if I will adjust 40Vp-p 10kHz square wave at the output the current consumption is rising up to 650mA - and this is what I dislike ( I know zobel network will consume some current but prapobly not that much ?)
Any advice ?? (schematic bellow)
Thanks
Peter
Edit:
I have replaced drivers Vbe transistor with BD139 and changed few resistors values, now bias is perfectly stable, rock solid. Ihave hetad it up to 80C deg and there is very small bias deviation.

I have found what was causing the excessive current drain with no load connected at fast square waves. I have soldered 100nF speedup capacitor, the value was too small to pull out the charge from the bases of OP tranies and they were turning off too slow.
Now I have soldered 470nF and all is perfect.

"100nF speedup capacitor, the value was too small to pull out the charge from the bases of OP tranies and they were turning off too slow."
Where is this capacitor ?

Right at the driver Re , Thimios. (below)

Hi Borys,
If you have it could you post a mirror of the silk? I know, I'm getting spoiled.
If you have a Sprint file would you share it?
Thanks, Terry

guys i have seen a few board builds with this bent aluminum as a sink
is there a reason for this bent around with board mount holes verses a normal sink?

It just provides a little added physical robustness. A straight piece of aluminum would also work fine.
