Well spotted Per. I re-flowed it after looking at the pics. I find a good camera close up is excellent for inspection.

Per's BOM specs says 8mm
and these are indeed 10mm
(specs on ordered cap says 8-10mm)
I hope it will still be possible

can I please ask to accurately measure distance between solder pads ends

would it be possible to 'bend it over', and solder one side first ?

The cap shall be 8 mm diameter to fit. It's approx. 11 mm across the pads.

but base plate is 11mm
and 12mm at solder pins

but 35V 100uf is ok size for other projects

Yes, I had also the similar situation with the SMD resistors, would I buy 30 for €1,60 or 100 for €2,10. I went for the latter option, maybe with some other project in the future I don't need to order some values...
