SIT-3

..........
Actually, the match is for Vgs, not transconductance in order to trim the
bias current. Originally I tried to get as close a Vgs as possible, in an
effort to reduce the resistive degeneration, but then I developed a
technique to retain the "square law effect" independent of that.

:wiz:

Thank you Mr. Pass for correcting my assumption.
Is in second order the k2/k3 relation a bit shifted?

Your treasure chest is always full ...... 🙂)

So we have some stuff to think... as always.

😀😀

inspired by SIT-3, but maybe idiotic.....

I was told that the source follower solution sounded worse compared to the DEF.

That is not the conclusion. The Source follower SIT is pretty close to
the DEFiSIT into 8 ohms at lower power levels, but falls short in terms
of output power.

All of this is just subjective opinion anyway. I will continue to explore the
DEF with the Jfet - I have those parts and the design has since morphed.

Thank you for clarification Mr. Pass.

Lower output means 10W for the Source follower SIT?

I did not quite understand your last line...

DEF with the J-Fets....do you mean the J-Fet input pair or some SS at the output?

Now I have a good view of the photo with large screen.
Wander to know which scenario is happened first:
A) Mr Pass had bought a truck load of Antek double shielded toroids.
B) Mr Pass had bought a truck load of CineMag unshielded transformers.

Cheers

A:clock: happened first.
Plitron toroids are for " de Luxe " stuff
