Dear Mr. Mike,
first of all thank you very much for your extremely kind and valuable information and advice.
I can only add that I am very eager to know something more about your topology.
Of course in case that you have any intention to disclose that information to us all.
Anyway, thank you so much again.
Kind regards,
beppe

if you use active distortion cancelation then may be low level result. It is interesting to look on the disign.Portlandmike said:
I've done a novel distortion cancelation circuit too, that worked very well at gains of 10 or more.
But for "simple follower" as you mentioned, for BJT the only parameter which define THD is emitter current modulation depth.
For 30% modulation a circut from paper have 0.001% instead of 0.15% for "simple".
For 3% it will be 0.00001%.
For low current modulation you need a high resistors ~10KOhm and current sourses which cut audio quality to minimum due to nonliniar capacitance.
A solution to use active distortion cancelation or feedback.
