Now isn't this cute... presents going around, good cheer, inane humour... what next, a herd of reindeer pulling a sled with a fat, bearded moderator handing out free Diana Krall CD's? A slumber party perhaps? How about a group board-drill?
All this while questions of forum and moderator integrity, ethics and incestuous partisan alliances hang unanswered and valuable, intelligent contributors who can speak with authority about far more than NatSem datasheets pack their virtual bags and seek pastures new at the hands of a learned (cough...!) Boeing employee.
All I can say is congratulations! The egotistical, nepotistic hippocracy exhibited here is sure to inspire confidence and loyalty all round. Give yourselves a nice pat on the back... SLAP!... a job well done! Janitorial heroism at the cutting edge of emotional maturity and moral justice.
'Scuse me now... these cowardly, audiophilic, integrophobic gallstones have got me so bilious I just gotta go talk to God on the big white phone... bleechhhh!

Hmmm, guess that would be me. But I'm not a big Diana Krall fan, sorry.
I have no idea what you look like behind the iron mask, SY... But if the unseasonal glass slipper of Christmas cheer should fit you in June then be SYnta Claus if you must.
But putting your foot anywhere near your mouth is no longer recommended, for health reasons. In fact the whole concept would be more safely relegated to 'Texas' along with Peter Daniels' capacitor polarity testing methods. And this despite the quaint colloquialism ringing "... I'd rather eat shards of glass than..." ( build a gainclone, for example). Not to mention that driving after midnight could be deadly, what with the risk of your F350 being momentarily transformed into a huge pumpkin, smearing itself and you across 150 yards of freeway tarmac into a huge puddle of janitorially-flavoured pumpkin soup.
And we couldn't have that, now could we?
PS. How long do you estimate SY, before planet10 (pluto?) terminates this thread too?

In my own mind, just like Denzel Washington. In my wife's mind (and probably more accurate), like Jerry Garcia on a bad day.
I do like your ties though😀SY said:

Like Denzel Washington? Quite a yankee-liberal simile there SY except perhaps in spirit, absolutely NO racial slant intended of course; I merely thought a more caucasian simile would have been more appropriate. Mel Gibson perhaps, or George bush jr... Whatever.
We all wear masks at times SY, iron in your case. Ironic in others of less moderate mettle. Three puns in one sentence, damn I'm good...

No iron, that's magnetic. Pure rhodium.
FWIW, I'm lighter than Denzel but darker than Jerry. And I have all my fingers. I'll be in Cape Town week after next if you want to see so for yourself.

I'm pretty far from Cape Town. But if you're anywhere near Johannesburg or Pretoria let me know.
Crummy time of year in Cape Town I'm afraid to say. But good wine and food to be had. Careful of the tourist-trap restaurants sprouting like weeds to suck your dollars. Have a meal at Haute Cabriere or Le Coulomb if you can. Blues isn't bad either.
And you'll find most South Africans considerably less caustic than me. I have unique luggage which breeds a rapier tongue.

Thanks, I will. Since we're doing winery visits, for eating I'm relying on the recommendations of winemakers, which are usually pretty good.
I was at a wine evening on Tuesday with Ken Forrester. He's a well-known wine-farmer down there. Invited us down to stay with him when we go down to CT in July.
May I recommend his Grenache-Syrah wine... very good. Bought a couple of cases for myself.
