Actually, SY and Carlos gave it away...I put it in writing and Variac is just jumping to conclusions...
O.K...I don't mind the CD...
You can send the Aleph board to SY (I know he hates tubes anyway).
As for Carlos....well he'll just have to commute between Portugal, Belgium and Napa Valley, won't he?

When are we getting that forum for commercial guys to
let them tastefully describe what they are up to.
As has been pointed out before, DIY people NEED the commercial
suppliers. Some people WANT circuit boards. Why, I'd pay good money for an Aleph X board....
Also I'm curious what companies some of these big guys are linked to. I could find out if we had a place to list their info
( I know there is the website button on each post, but that is SO

This lighthearted banter is certainly less stressful and superficially more enjoyable than the thread origins. But it detracts from issues which are important.
Yes, Fred could be abrupt, rude and occasionally an a**hole. I should know. But he spoke a lot of good engineering sense and was a huge asset here. Personally I have more respect for a good brain packaged in a crummy demeanour than vise verse.
Anyway it's patently clear that a lot of politics exists behind all the rumours, innuendo and bull****. Conveniently hidden from public view of course, in the hallowed janitorial corridors of Moderatoria.
Hopefully there isn't some semi-retarded George Bush clone sitting atop it all, removing all knowledgable folk by subterfuge in preparation for an invasion of Audio Asylum....
