Since i did not have a clue what this was about, i paid a visit to texas. Looking at the pcb in post 1, maybe it looks a bit strange and not neat at first glance.
E.g. the traces on the right leaving from the third big pad from the bottom. It would LOOK better if just one trace would go to the left and then split up further on. But my guess is that it is designed this way to keep currents away from each other (powersupply?). I'm just GUESSING here, but my guess (again) is that somebody took care while routing this.
Also all the ground connections seem to be done at the centre of the pcb. Not a nice LOOKING solution, but probably better
for this application or just done to avoid lots of traces have to go the the edges of the pcb (resulting in the need for a double sided pcb or a lot of wires).
Starground with digital, errr dont think so. So it looks analog to me..
Traces all seem to fit on one side of the pcb, so i don't see a reason for double sided pcb. Why spend more $$$$??
My two cents from an engineer (have the degree) without much experience (sometimes make pcb's only for hobby)

I would also point out that I wasn't the one who moved your thread to Texas but I'm fully behind the decision.
I would also recommend you that you try to stick to technical issues rather than ... I don't know what. If you are proud over something you have done yourself, please show it. I think many of us are interested, me too infact.

This post is official (whereas i think P-As was just a friendly note from a member). Fred's other thread went to Texas because it ended up being a flame-fest, with the tone of the original post a challenge setting the flavour of the whole thread. That it went should have been notice enuff.
If this thread goes in the same direction it will follow. Just chill Fred, go stand in a corner and put on a silly hat, flagellate yourself with wet noodles, go for a walk in the woods... Fortunately most members have not been very helpful to you in inciting a riot -- my compliments to them. To those that did get dragged in -- you know who you are, hopefully that is enuff, i hate dishing out more.

I don't know guys but the moderators are up to something, I looked at texas and I see a pattern.
Between the sponsors, Jason leaving and Audiofreak taking over, Peter becoming the rogue "fallen angel" of moderation this site is starting to feel 'different'.

Fred could certainly finish cleaning his pool, the problem is that Texas is so damn hot you don't get to enjoy it so much, right Fred?
