The UFSP pcb has 5 holes for the cap, make another pcb yourself that it's pins goes into the 3 holes. This handmade pcb will be used for the cap to stand on it. Then solder both 3 pcb pins and the two cap wires into UFSP pcb 5 holes.maybe like this...
That way it would be rigid.
Edit: make sure that the pins are firmly stuck into this handmade pcb, so make the hole smaller at first and then force them into place. Also make sure that the pins won't hurt the cap into the other (top) side.
I have swapped around various caps here. C3 being the most influential. I have tried Miflex copper but find it too rich. The Pio caps kpal sound smoothed out but not as rich. Clarity CMR sound smooth yet not coloring or veiled.
Even Panasonic caps here work well from a transparency perspective. The ufsp is very revealing of parts that make it.

Thanks to you and Salas, I'm bringing this project to a close. I used an Mcap supreme classic in position C3, but after 200 hours I'm giving up on it. I hope the Miflex will bring a little more meat. The Phono cartridge I have (EMT HSD 006) is very dynamic and quite rough in expression, so this way I balance the overall sound.

exactly 56dB gain, but before I took it apart I was playing a Hana SL Phono cartridge so the gain was 62dB, no noise, no hiss.

Proper gain setting vs cart output is always important. 1mV is an output class of MC carts of not too many members. Should sound dynamic at 56dB. Although 53dB would generally be sufficient.
At your EMT's price bracket I also like the ZYX R50 Exceed 0.48mV 8Ω version. Was listening to one today. Nice flow and openess but not insubstantial or cold.
Hana is good value in all its models, especially the SL MK2. Even their top of the line Umami Red is good value for money. I set one in a friend's system and it gave big league sound.

it's interesting how the mistakes I made in choosing phono cartridges keep coming back to me. At the HiFi dealer, the choice was EMT or Umami blue, I know the latter was 800 euros more expensive but I'm sure it would have been a better choice for me. Especially since I have great experiences with the Hana SL, and with all that, I also changed the turntable to one that would fit Umami better. I haven't had the chance to listen to any phono cartridges from ZYX.

They measured 0.789mV output versus the 1.05mV spec which is a good thing because better compatible with the 56dB gain setting.
Expect 500mV RMS output at 5cm/sec with the EMT from the phono. Good SNR without compromising overload headroom too much.

Finished this build around 2017 and till using it daily. Wonder if there has been any discussion of modifying it for balanced output?
