Now the "home - benz riaa" is so detailed, the presentation is so wide and deep, the transients are so powerfull, my present system is not up to the task... it is asking for a bigger scale. (I long for my defunct B&O MS150) 🙁

Do you need the gain your preamp gives you? I mean how high you can turn the volume in a clock analogy and what is the sensitivity of your current speakers? Do you remember the input sensitivity of your amp also?
If you can go 15inch high Qts plus a fullranger you like, there was a lot of example here in DIYA based on an MJK example & paper. Don't know if you can retain some scale with smaller woofer or just a single full ranger.

For single OB the only good one is my supravox 600€ pair . better one cost a fortune.. like 1200each....
if you want go deep the Martin with 15" xcross at 200hz plus FR is a good one

I believe my amp has 0.775v/0db sensitivity.
At 12 oclock it is already loud... but I need it to hear the full picture.
Subwoofer is not the same thing... I need some good big bass units.

I am using a ACE benz medium output.
The speakers are 4 ohm monitors from B&O model 4703. These have twin 15cm 8 ohm bass units in parallel witch are fast but never had good bass.
I am using a 30 watt Meridian 101/103. (Very detailed and fast with incredible insight but never bass heavy).

Yeah, but try diy adjusting those duke valves! Huge PITA! My wee-strom's a bit easier, but still quite a pain for the real cylinder.
Well, I just got a pair of Visaton B200 with phase plugs from a diyaudio member, and plan to build some OB speakers with them. If only I had some more time!

Wright... very odd indeed. (My father was a B&O fan and had very good connections with the local dealer so I for a long time I could use and listen to this brand´s last models)
Work ok with the meridians so I kept them. (New bass units now)
The crossover is so complex I never could put it on paper the right way.

B&O know a lot about how to make things look good.
The only clever design they ever did was the tape recorder that had a variable HF linked into the Dolby circuit.
It was so good that others copied it.
