Hi,
I'd suggest starting off with a 90L floorstander as outlined above
and filling the bottom third or so of each cabinet with sand for
checking out the sealed alignment, vented would then be easy.
rgds, sreten.
A very good suggestion i will try this.
i started out whit a 60L closed because i had this lying around from a previous prosject.
I must say i sounds very good already real nice vokal and nice bass respons
it is a real promising driver in the right enclosure.
it has a sweet sound that makes me wanna listen to my entire record collection 😀
Nice🙂 thanx for the link. Interesting to see some measurement for this driver.
I feel there is many roads to rome, an i am not shure where i end up.
But i am shure it's gonna sound great after what i have heard tonight.
FR , the way is right !😛
my suggestion is to try the openbaffle , a lot better placement of voice , like is there ,dipole emission is like surround....
I have a supravox 215 S BIC in OB 65cmx110cm very similar

Eariler today i got my hands on a 92L net volum bassreflex enclosure
tuned to 32hz. I know it should be 28hz but it has a built in port so it's a bit harder to change it.
I will come back with a report as soon as i have listened to it for a while.
And write some word on the differences between the two enclosures🙂

Hi,
32Hz is very ballpark and 28Hz was only a personal suggestion.
FWIW you can experimentally detune ports by lining the port walls
with thin porous foam, I do (well did) this a lot for room matching.

Hi sreten,
Can you explain the room matching? Is it to avoid exacerbating a room mode? Is there a way (afterwards) to confirm / validate the results, e.g. with test tones perhaps?

Good idea i will try to tune it tomorrow🙂
Today the loudspeaker has made some noise in a 90L bass reflex enclosure.
It has a sweet tone to it a nice clarity and very nice and precise sound stage.
I would personaly like to get more live sound in the bass region. So i guess a horn construction is more my cup of tea. but other than that it's a great loudspeaker.

I always appreciate new inspiration so thanx 🙂 for the momemt i will play around a bit
with the bass reflex enclosure and try some port tuning and damping. so i can make up my mind on the pros and cons of that construction 🙂

what difference on bass br vs closed ?
in a closed box the bass respons get a little weak for my taste. so too compensate for that you would have to dampen the speaker as shown in the seas app notes.
but when i did that i lost some of the live feeling.
in the bass reflex box the bass got better and fuller but i feel it is more to this driver so my search goes on🙂
I will contact you as soon as possible when I have got information from our man in Hungary. Maybe he one day will post something in this thread.
But we need pictures Nikko03.
Maybe I should make a thread around the Impulse H6 project also?

Pictures will come as soon as i have something more than a test box🙂
And i definitly think you should start a thread around the Impulse H6 project.
It's a outstanding speaker with an astonishing performance level🙂
