I haven’t seen mention of one of the music genres Scott liked best: Industrial Noise. He was a master at purging distortion and electrical noise from his circuits . . . so that he could listen to the pounding of metal stampers in full fidelity on a sound system.
Scott and another guy at work turned me on to their music world via Throbbing Gristle, Butthole Surfers, etc.
Re. Asian culture: he was once caught alone in a hallway at work standing on one foot, the other leg raised, both arms out. When asked “What are you doing?” his response was “Searching for balance.” Cracked me up.

We used Scott's ICs on the fiber optic acoustic sensors we developed years ago. Loved his input here. Learned a lot and with you new it was always 100% correct. RIP
Was away from the forum for a while and just saw this. Very sad, a tremendous loss for the world. I learned so much from his posts. Beyond his obvious technical acumen, he was one of the rare people that just “got it”.
Well that's very sad news indeed.
Condolences to family and friends.
I didn't know him personally but learned a lot from his writings!
Rest In Peace Scott, Mr. Wurcer.
