Thank you all for your valuable advice, they all played their part but once I made a filter and balanced the loudspeaker, one is the word "magic". Really vivid natural and massive sound.

ottimi diffusori...great speakers this full range in ddvp20, even with 90db sounds. I tried last night to put a ping pong ball on the whizzer with patafix. Now I feel less need for tw. I don't know why, maybe it changes the emission phase.
can you post a photo please?put a ping pong ball on the whizzer
Translate: yes..slightly but not the amount of treble, but more precise phase. It's an experiment.
I installed sb20 is some large port boxes just to test drivers. Usually use low powered tube amp but this time i connected Sansui 331 receiver and switched on loudness😎. Twiddled knobs a bit. I know its heresy but sound coming out of this drivers was really enjoyable. I thought sounded better than tubes at least to my ears. Maybe sb20 favour more solid amps.

If you were using a SET, with an inherent lack of bass and slightly pronounced mid range, then that's probably never going to be a good match with a full range driver with similar issues. Just sayin' ...
Also have Sigma 208ez, you can connect ss 100wats in to it and won't make any bass. But tube 3wats will .
SB20FRPC30-8 sounds great with both tube amplifiers and digital amplifiers.
In my opinion, with a proper enclosure, there is no need for electrical filters, loudness adjustments, or boost features.

SB20 in 40 litres closed with filter from leftover I had.
Would be interesting to see a distortion graph from one of the builds here... say 90 dB / 1m... TIA!
