it's a pity that the wiring from this amplifier remained like this,,, it is also the THT version
I can't publish these wirings, sorry

2x Sara 2016 amplifier ready to be built into the box. DC offset in one channel 3mV and second channel 9mV. Bias set to 35mV/106mA per transistor. Aluminum plate already very hot after a minute 🙂 (50V DC) I'm thinking of putting it in the box instead of the FH9HVX, ...SARA2016 will sound much better.

Satisfied with the sound?Today I completed Sara amp.
Thank you for this project
I see you're using a switching power supply. Personally, I am of the opinion that such a thing does not belong in a quality amplifier like SARA. 🙁
Friends today my K300 cooler arrived, so between the holidays I've got the fun taken care of. I've got drilling and thread cutting to do.
At the beginning of January 2024 I am going to order a toroidal transformer (toroidy.pl), I am deciding between 500W and 600W (4x 40V), the price difference is negligible.

The most sensitive and powerful test equipment these days are powered by switched-mode power supplies and are capable of making measurements with a dynamic range of over 160db, at least 100 times more than could ever be needed in a audio power amplifier.
The problem with SMPS sources only occurs when they are not made as they should be and the necessary noise rejection measures are not taken.

Now I use s.m.p.s. of 2.000 W from Connex. The sound is excellent. If you want a pure highend power supply solution, you can split the power supply in two separate parts, s.m.p.s. for output stage and a small toroidal transformer for LTP+VAS.Satisfied with the sound?

Define RMS power!
According to the theory there is no RMS power. Maybe you mean maximum continuous power, which is a correct term to use in this case. And this power is only very little determined by the scheme and depends more on how the power supply is made (voltage drop at maximum load) and the cooling mode of the power elements (final transistors).
