Thank you, Bernt.
No, it doesn't end here.
Instead of using the SLAM! motor when optimizing the membrane, I might build a mini SALS?A!; I have some magnets left.
The unfolded membrane is 301 wide and 273 mm high:

There are eight of them in each SALS?A!
The 74 film that I'm using is 360 mm wide.
That is 0.657 M2 !! eller 657 cm2 !! for mid and tweeter
Bernt
Yes and no.
It's 0.655 m2 but 6552 cm2, per side. And that with a weight of 26 grams
massive project !! how low do you cross them ?
Currently I have for the mid an HP @ 300 Hz and LP @ 10 kHz.
For the tweeter I have an HP @ 3 kHz and some EQ at the upper end.
I might go lower with the tweeter.
HP and LP are 24 dB/octave.
I'm using Roon's procedural DSP as it is faster when iterating the filter settings.
When I am finished with the evaluation, I will make FIR filters instead with the filters setting that I have concluded.
If you are in the vicinity of Gothenburg, Sweden, you can listen to these this Saturday ( 6th of November 2021).
Very excited to listen, since i have followed this thread with great interest!
I´ll be there tomorrow!😀

Actually, it was a request from the public and it was the last song.looking good ! sounds good to. a bit to much of a demo song for me but (you know the ones you only hear in demo rooms/shows 🙂 ). sounds great anyhow !

I didn't want to play it, but as everybody has heard it everyone can make the comparison.
Yes, they were impressed.
In fact, it was the best they ever have heard.
Very Nice!....but we need more with different types of music. Well done.
Watched the video on my cell phone. Hard to say given cell phone sound quality, but the acoustic instrument strings sounded a bit overly metallic?
This is very revealing.Hard to say given cell phone sound quality, but the acoustic instrument strings sounded a bit overly metallic?

These were the songs I played (shown in reversed order):

Yes, I suspect that the microphones are mounted directly on the guitars.Watched the video on my cell phone. Hard to say given cell phone sound quality, but the acoustic instrument strings sounded a bit overly metallic?
It's a very unnatural recording being "live".
Yes, it's quite obvious how not high fidelity this live recording actually is.This is very revealing.
But as I said, it was a request and everybody knows the song.
Hello
I would like to hear the loudspeaker. Must be a special experience.
You cut at 300 Hz. The way the speaker looks, I would expect very transparent voice reproduction. Too transparent. I mean to say, do an experiment with a wider baffle. For example a wooden slat 10 cm on one side and 20 cm on the other side. This would make the parts fuller, i.e. more meat on the bone.
Sensational work. congratulation
