Not even an opamp, voltage regulator or something like that, barely can read text on the body. Em ba ras sing I know
Fine it did not make real damage. Now it sounds correct without modifying ground wiring and pot etc?
Great development. Success! You are welcome. Don't forget to show it finished to us and to tell us more about it and the system it plays in after more listening.
Will do. Just want to enjoy the music for now, it is soooo good 🙂
Practically of course it can be used. No technical incompatibility. Why not try it since you will have it.
But how you will like the Khozmo 10k log + DCG3 combination is for you to judge. Squarewave rise time will be faster and bandwidth will be wider than with a 20-25k log for sure. That can be subjectively interpreted as clean but also as lean if an audio system as a whole lacks warmth. Including your room acoustics.

Ok I'm going to buy another Khozmo for DCG3 (headphone amp) I only have these two values (24K or 51K) to choose from, which one should I lean towards?
Thank You!
Thank You!
These are the dimensions:
Dissipation is 10.2W at 150mA +/-17V for two channels. No worse than 1C/W (K/W) sink for 10C rise above ambient should be used. That's in free air and optimally oriented. Expect higher rise when boxed. Ventilation holes should be in vicinity. For mechanical stability & heat transfer the sink should be bolted in touch with the chassis. Apply thermal paste between their meeting metal surfaces. An adequate example sink type:

Hi Salas,
Is it possible to change the DCSTB output to 20v. I want to build a +/- 20v P/S for a old phono preamp.

Yes of course. About 470Ω RyJ & RxJ should take it there. Better put female socket pins in their places so you can try values because there are tolerances from build to build and from section to section. Or replace them with 1kΩ trimmers configured as rheostats if you can bodge them in there.
Theoretical question
Could Ian Canada use the Salas DCG3 preamplifier with 2 15 V UCPure power supplies?
Of course I know it would be expensive (12pcs 3000F Super Cap), but it would get the most out of it I think.
What is the power consumption of the amp?

Various supply designs can be combined and tested with the DCG3. The spec is that DCG3 can use between +/-15V and +/-17.5V rails consuming about 10W total DC power for single ended stereo (two channels 150mA output stage bias). Or about 20W DC for true balanced XLR stereo (four channels configured as two phases L two phases R).
