Are you sure that it's R26? It's odd that there could be a problem in that area and it affect only one channel.
Are you measuring the channel voltage directly across the two speaker channels for each channel? Black on speaker negative and red on speaker positive?

That's likely OK if the power supply FETs are being driven properly.
When it doesn't heat up, is the power supply operating?

i think the resistor heats up no matter works or not. my temp meter goes to 70deg and maxes that.
signal to ps fets drops from working 5.3V to non working 4.3V.
tried to look cracked solders, only hot spot i found was on that resistor, re soldered. no changes.
ever seen broken tl494sm?

The 494 can fail but yours appears to be working.
Do you define 'not working' a condition where only one channel is working and the other has DCV?
Both 5.3 and 4.3 are valid voltages for the PS FET gate drive. 5.3 could be greater duty cycle or higher 12v supply voltage or both.
What is the DCV on pins 1 and 2 of the 494 at 5.3v and at 4.3v gate drive?

measured from R4 and R5 which goes straight to pin1 and 2. 39mV when it works 1.8mV when it doesnt.
but i think found the problem, wow!. what would have been next step u suggest to look at? 🙂
