Although I have never had the chance to meet Mr. Linkwitz in person, you can tell from his writings and pictures from meetings and show reports that he must have been a very pleasant, generous and open minded person.
His legacy will live on in our living rooms, on our workbenches and in our understanding of topics that he wrote on.

A massive loss. Linkwitz was one of the modern giants of audio, a superb designer and theoretician, and always generous with his knowledge. We all owe him a debt of gratitude. Rest in peace, with the gratitude and respect of thousands.
