Be careful adding capacitors to the output of an amplifier. It can be pretty destructive. A short run with a 2R load would be a better simulation of a 4R speaker load. Your speaker impedance will likely dip to that at some frequencies causing the overload.
Try replacing the 47R resistors with 56R or 68R.

New test on the road!
Stay tuned!
Thanks Jeff.![]()
That looks like the parts I sent last week. I thought your missing parts would arrive as soon as I sent another package. Maybe they are gone for ever.
Yes i'm.Lucky you!! 😀
Do
We will see New IPS alive soon.🙂
Also a complete amplifier the Simpelstark.😉
I hope NOT.That looks like the parts I sent last week. I thought your missing parts would arrive as soon as I sent another package. Maybe they are gone for ever.

I received a package in the past, 2 months later after astx sent and after he recent a new one.
This from Austria!
Housing
Some progress about housing in full mono configuration.
Also Power supply will be in separate enclosures in full mono configuration.

Restart....thanks to you!🙂🙂🙂Looks like you're off to a good start!

So I replaced the resistors with 56R and I can go up to ~2.12Vdc before the protection triggers. I will test it this way and report back. Also the chassis is now connected to earth but PSUs are still floating for now.
Do
great job soldering those surface mount chips.
I am getting to the point where I need glasses just to read TO-92 part numbers.

I've finally managed to make some time to assemble an amplifier to properly test some of the latest board designs. This one's almost ready for anodizing and laser work. It's going to be full but it still seems easy to service so far.

Nice work Jeff!
