I have mine in the car. I hope I can make it by the post office sometime tomorrow. Life is currently quite hectic.
Doh,
Why not epoxy some small magnets on the sides and a small bit of ferrous metal to the top (or visa versa). Lee Valley has some pretty powerful inexpensive magnets (and some great tools too!)

Very nice job... I too live in Manhattan but can't even get the boards done, much less mount them as nicely as you did!

Apox problems...
Hi!
I have some trouble making it all work together...
I have 4 input boards, for 8 inputs, and 2 APOX-2 volume-boards,
And they all seem to work as pairs(?), but when connecting them all,
-either I loose volume boards, or I loose a pair of input boards.
I have transferred the newest firmware.
And I have tried all possible adress-jumper-mixing ...
😕
What have I overlooked?

I finally got around to hooking up the boards after Dale sent them back to me. Everything works perfectly now. Thanks Dale!!!
Re: Apox problems...
Probably nothing,
this maybe the only time where is actually the computer's fault. 😉

Hi Arne,
Sorry to hear of the troubles. I seem to recall rljones having a similar issue. I will check to see what the resolution was in his case.
Best Regards,
Dale
P.S. Brian, I got your boards yesterday. I will check them out tonight.

Arne,
I have SHM boards and front panel controller in Oslo, Norway if you need something to test against.
Let me know.

I think it is a input-board (PIC) program issue?
Both APOX-2 (x2) and APOX-SHM (x2) seems to work, I just can not get more than 4 inputs. (Reading only 1 input board when "booting").

Hello,
I slipped my APOX unit in between my TV tuner and preamp and think I hit a slight problem. When the apox is off, a horrible buzz comes out of my speakers, which resolves itself when the apox unit powers on and connects the tuner to the output. What is going on here? My setup is as follows:
TV tuner --> APOX --> preamp --> amp --> speakers.
The problem persists when the preamp is taken out of the setup and is constant when there are no inputs connected. All connections are single ended. One error I committed in construction was that, for the inputs, I wired ground to the negative hole in the PCB instead of GND like I was supposed to, but I believe that negative and GND are jumpered together on the bottom of the board, so this is ok. Is there something I am missing here?

Hi,
Do you have R3 installed on the IS1 boards?
Do you have anything connected to the shield ?
Out of curiosity, install a 100K resistor on the IS1 outputs (signal to ground).

Hi Brian,
I tested your system last night. Indeed, it was the IR1 software. By accident, I believe your board had the API version.
I will mail it back today.
Best Regards,
Dale Herman

Hi, Dale!
I tried the software, but it did not do much change?
(And still only 1 pair input-boards)
What is the change?

Hey Arne,
Have you tried setting the number of inputs to 8 in the software, or is the system not allowing you to do this? Just a thought...
